Abstract
This article critiques the "justice delayed" phenomenon as a form of "institutional disrespect" toward the citizen. Baxi argues that judicial delay is not just a systemic bottleneck but a violation of the fundamental right to a speedy trial. He highlights how delayed judgments in critical civil and criminal matters can render the ultimate victory meaningless.
