Abstract
In this obituary, Baxi pays tribute to Professor Shamnad Basheer, a legal scholar and activist known for his work on Intellectual Property (IP) and social justice. Baxi reflects on Basheer’s "rebel spirit" and his founding of IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access), which brought marginalized students into law schools.
